Evaluation Methods to Test Evidence-based Intervention

Research Paper Instructions:

This is a continuation from the previous assignment you did. I accidentally did not assign you when I ordered, so I am ordering again. You have done excellent work.
In 750-1,000 words, discuss an evaluation plan to measure the effectiveness of your evidence-based practice project. Provide the following criteria, making sure your evaluation plan is comprehensive and concise:
Propose evaluation methods to evaluate the implementation of your evidence-based intervention. Describe the methods selected and provide rationale and support for why the proposed methods are best for the collection of outcome data.
Describe how the proposed evaluation methods will measure whether the project objectives are achieved. Explain how the outcomes will be measured and evaluated based on the evidence. Address validity, reliability, and applicability.
Describe strategies to take if outcomes do not provide positive results.
Discuss implications for practice and future research.
Upon receiving feedback from the instructor, refine "Section E: Evaluation" for your final submission. This will be a continuous process throughout the course for each section.
Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

Proposed Evaluation Methods
I propose formative and summative evaluation methods to assess the implementation of next-generation sequencing (NGS) intervention to mitigate antimicrobial resistance. An evidence-based intervention within the healthcare sector aims to bring the needed change within the targeted population or organization. That said, the implementation of NGS would improve the health outcomes of patients in terms of enhancing their treatment outcomes (Joseph, 2019). I proposed summative and formative assessment techniques because I believe they can be applied to measure the forecasted changes within the healthcare setting.
Description of Methods and Rationale
Formative evaluation starts during the project design and continues in particular from across the project’s life. It intends to evaluate ongoing program activities and offer information to monitor as well as enhance the project. The formative evaluation method is categorized into progress assessment and implementation assessment techniques. The implementation evaluation method collects outcome data by assessing whether the project is conducted according to laid-down plans. The progress evaluation method examines the progress in attaining the intervention’s ultimate goals. Accordingly, the summative evaluation method assesses the intervention’s success in its entirety, particularly in attaining its stated objectives. It is also an excellent approach to evaluate an intervention’s implementation effectiveness since it is conducted after project establishment (Frechtling, 2010).
How the Proposed Evaluation Methods Measure Project Objectives’ Attainment and Measurement of Outcomes
It is expected that k-mers’ testing of the antimicrobial resistance genes and single-nucleotide polymorphism in S. aureus and M. tuberculosis would reveal that either S. aureus or M. tuberculosis has a high sensitivity hence responsible for the antimicrobial resistance to antibiotics. The expected outcome relates to the project objectives since it would show whether the use of next-generation sequencing reduces antimicrobial resistance (Balkhaira et al., 2019). Progress evaluation entails gathering information to determine whether or not the progress benchmarks were attained at any unexpected deviations. The progress evaluation method collects data to point out the impact of strategies and activities on participants or institutions at diverse stages of the evidence-based intervention implementation (Frechtling, 2010). By evaluating the progress, the project manager could get an early indicator of whether or not the intervention’s outcomes are likely to be realized. If the collected data for progress evaluation does not portray the expected outcomes for NGS implementation, the information could be utilized to fine-tune the program. The data collected as part of the progress assessment could also provide the foundation for future summative evaluation.
The summative evaluation method would measure the capacity to achieve the project objectives by collecting data outcomes, including related activities, strategies, and processes contributing to th...
