Obesity has become a complex health issue in the USA because of its rising prevalence. Obesity is attributed to lack of physical activity, poor dietary patterns, medical abuse, and inactivity. Obesity has become a major concern in the USA due to its contribution to poorer mental health outcomes, increased mortality rates, and reduced quality of life (Godfrey, Bremer, Alba, Apovian, Koethe, Koliwad, & Srinivasa, 2019). It also causes other diseases and conditions like heart disease, diabetes, some types of cancer, and stroke. Analysis of the four lenses of wellness shows that obesity has adversely influenced society.
