Research Educational Programs In Archaeological Museums
Dear writer,
Thanks for your great work on the thesis proposal.
Now, I would like to go more in-depth and do a comparative study (two archaeological museums).
This research paper should have included:
1. VERY IMPORTANT: the research questions (3) of the thesis proposal (see the file you had sent) > they are the structure for the paper!
2. TWO very well-known, important ARCHAEOLOGICAL museums (one from the Netherlands and one your own choice) that differ in the way they educate children in archaeology (perhaps more practice vs. more theory based..)
3. The introduction should include why the chosen museums are used as an example.
4. Regards literature: use scientific literature, both for the chosen museums and for the background theories (how to educate children, how to educate children in museums, etc..)
The paper should thus be very specific and of Master level quality and has to answer the research questions of the thesis proposal. This is going to be the basis for the thesis, if this works out also, then we will be working on that later on!
If you have any questions I will answer as soon as possible.
Thank you very much and good luck,
P.S.: If you use in-text referencing this time, I would like the page numbers also in it!

The Rijksmuseum van Oudheden (Dutch National Museum of Antiquities) is located in Leiden South Netherlands, while the Museum of London Archaeological Archive inn London, UK. Most archaeological museums are open to children visiting and learning, with hands-on activities effective in learning about archeology (Merriman, 2004, p. 76). The Dutch museum focuses on interactivity and hands-on approach in learning, allowing children to play games and specific archaeological collections on their own. The Museum of London Archaeological Archive also supports practical learning, but with the vast archive and collection there are fewer options for hands on experience.
Museums
The Rijksmuseum van Oudheden museum has different display cases and allows the use of multimedia application, with emphasis on Dutch discoveries, but also their application. The children can further explore the past using Google Earth to understand the past. Besides Rijksmuseum van Oudheden emphasizing interaction, the reconstructed places are an opportunity for the children to visualize and experience how the Romans, Vikings, and Knights, Ancient Greeks, the Egyptians lived in different eras. The English speaking guides make it easier even for international visitors to learn about the past. The collection focuses on Egyptian, the Classical Period, the Ancient Near Easter and the Dutch collections. The museum strongly recommends children educations with lesson plans tailor made for children in primary and secondary schools, and they prepare teaching materials used in the class...
