Provide a descriptive summary of your data set and a rationale for why it contains important information as well as a description of the analytical approach used, and a rationale for why it is appropriate for the data set and research question ( 2 – 4 pages).

For this assignment, continue to add to the HIP document you prepared for the research question, which will become the introduction. This next section will be the methods section of the larger report and contains two parts related to the research question:
A descriptive summary of the data being (1-2 pages),
The rationale for the analytical approach you plan to use (1-2 pages).
Use the provided data sheets provided to identify the variables you plan to use and the type of statistical test you will want to conduct that will further your research question.

Data Summary
Select and describe from the student data the portions that are related to the research question. You should not need all the data you are provided to address your research question. Please look carefully at the two files to understand what parts of the data are useful for your purposes.
Your 1-2 page summary should include the following:
A description of the source of the data (when was it collected; who collected it?)
An identification of the selected subset of the data (columns and data tables)
A rationale for the selected data being used to address the research question
The number of students in the selected data
An identification of any missing data
Identification of each column being used as categorical, ordinal, interval or ratio
Data Analysis
Many types of statistical tests exist to analyze a set of data, but not all of these tests are appropriate or useful for the purposes we are pursuing. Therefore, it is important to align the research question being pursued, the data collected, and an appropriate statistical approach to draw valid and reliable conclusions. Use information from the reading on selecting a statistical approach: Reading: Statistical tests
Your analytic approaches should accomplish the following in 1-2 pages of text and an R script:
Identify at least one analytical approach such as a specific statistical test or measure to use to understand your data.
Provide a clear description of the selected analytical approach using sources such as research publications, statistics textbooks, or R packages.
Provide a rationale for why it is appropriate for the data set and aligned with the research question your group is pursuing.
Provide an RMarkdown script that does the following:
loads any additional required R packages using the library functions,
loads and stores the dataset,
filters and manipulates the data to only the portion needed for analysis
performs a function to conduct the analytical approach
Note: You do not need to report the results, only supply an RMarkdown document that reproduces the manipulations (filters, sorts, selects data).
Cite references in APA in text and in a work cited list that does not count towards the page limit.
