order to influence customers’ attitudes and behaviors.
Select one industry from the list below, and conduct research about strategies that companies in the industry use to

Blackboard Grading Rubrics

One or more assignments in this course utilizes a Blackboard Grading Rubric. A rubric is a tool that lists evaluation
criteria and can help you organize your efforts to meet the requirements of an assignment. Your professor will use the

You are encouraged to view the assignment rubric before submitting your work. This will allow you to review the

Promotion remains central when it comes to marketing of goods and services. It is an aspect that is geared towards informing customers of the existence of the product and or service while giving customers an opportunity to test to their satisfaction. Among other purposes, promotion is meant to increase the credibility of brands by giving customers opportunity to test without paying (Tellis, 2009). Different companies use different strategies of promotion all of which are geared towards increasing the volume of sales. In this discussion, the focus will be on soft drink companies. In particular, the discussion will focus on The Coca- Cola and Pepsi Companies.
Coca-cola
One of the promotional strategies employed by Coca-cola and which has proven successful is use of easily relatable aspect. For example, the current promotional and marketing strategy that Coca-Cola is using is branding their flagship brand, Coke with the names of people. This is certainly a very relatable concept as customers will purposely buy drinks with their names inscribed on them (Carmody, 2010). There is an element of pride and belonging when one see a Coke bottle with their name written on it.
Yet another promotional strategy that Coca-Cola has used previously is offering discounts and giving goodies to their customers. During holidays such as summer and Christmas, Coca cola will often have promotional goodies attached to their soft drinks. This is a method of attracting customers who are compelled to buy so that they can have the goody.
