Introduction
Food packages are an inevitable and ubiquitous part of the contemporary food environment. The multisensory characteristics of the packaging constitute a primary aspect within the efficacy of much mass-market food as well as beverage products. In the recent past, the role of beverage and food packaging has gone beyond its initial role within product preservation and portion control. Population growth, urbanization, and rapid industrialization resulted in the expansion of packaged foods to enhance efficiency and safety during distribution. Packaging has developed as the primary element of the marketing mix of food firms, which invest massive amounts of money in package design to enhance the long-term achievement of the development of products brand. As a manager considering launching and selling the brand to e-commerce sellers dealing mainly with water bottles, containers, and lunch boxes for American children, it is crucial to consider the role of cartoon characters, shapes, colors, ease of opening, and weight as the food package designs to develop such product designs.

When developing brand products, the company should consider applying cartoon characters from television, especially when advertising their trading commodities that target children. The application of cartoon characters on the containers, lunch boxes, and water bottles could play a central role in product marketing. The presence of cartoon characters on product brands and labels augments the children’s attention and preferences in the market to purchase them. However, it is important to note children’s perception of cartoon characters is attributed to their gender associations. For example, SpongeBob square paints had a more significant impact than Dora the Explorer products brand on the 6-7 years boys. On the other hand, 6-7 years girls were interested and chose products brand with Dora the Explorer (Ares et al., 2022). Accordingly, cartoon characters influence the children’s perception, choices, and willingness to taste as well as purchase drinking bottles with water and packed fruit juices.
Use of Packaging color
The company manager can apply packaging color in developing and advertising the containers, water bottles, and lunch boxes in food and beverage brands to attract children as primary consumers. The color of the container, lunch boxes, and water bottles play a central role in augmenting product perception among American children, thus increasing the sales volumes of the firm. More recently, many North American customers, including children, have been complaining about Coke’s taste changes following the release of the limited white-colored Christmas brand. This research confirms that the packaging col...
