Lingo Eyewear was found in October 2016 in Drapper, Utah. It was started by four individuals, namely; Douglas Harris, Brandon Adams, Peder Singleton, and Amy Larson. The company aims at giving each individual more than a single pair of eyewear to improve their self-expression. The firm has made its prices affordable, it has trending styles, and free prescription lenses are given with each pair.
Some of the competitors to Lingo are; Warby Parker started in 2010; it was meant to design eyewear at affordable prices due to the rebellious spirit that led to its formation while at the same time being socially conscious in business (Martini, 2018). The company aimed at offering quality glasses to the suffering population from eyesight issues as well as exploitation from single firms that set prices so high to rip higher profits. Another competitor is the glasses the USA founded in 2009 and mainly focuses on North America. Zenni optical is another rival founded in 2003 to serve everyone in society.
