Prompt 1: Discuss the development of Egyptian funerary architecture and artistic representations of the dead in the Old and New Kingdoms.

The most common funerary ritual among the Egyptians is the burial, as the body journeys to eternal life. Their most revered destination was another kingdom after burial, and they had to prepare properly for it. Mark (2013) mentions that in their preparations, mummification was one of the prioritized practices, where the family to the dead took the body to artisans to produce a model on wood. Below is an example of a mummification done for a family.
