Data Collection Method
The data collection method I would use is the primary data collection method. The primary data collection method is the most basic data collection method (Mazhar et al., 2021). In most cases, this method is considered to be of the highest quality since data is collected from the main sources. There are several I would follow to apply the primary method of data collection to the prevailing situation. The first procedure would be the use of interviews. Interviewing a representative sample of the population would offer great insight into the issue. The interview would be really short and precise since the only aim is to identify whether the interviewee prefers to use a can or a bottle. A reward for their preferred kind of drink, can, or bottle would be awarded to encourage the interviewers.
The second procedure would involve the administration of simple surveys/ questionnaires. With this method too, the first step would be to identify a representative sample. After the same has been identified, a customized survey/ questionnaire could be administered. Like with the interviews, the questionnaire mainly aims to determine whether the participant prefers the can or bottle. Therefore, the survey/questionnaire should be kept very simple and easy to understand. It should also be designed to take very little time of the participants. This way, the participants are more likely to be encouraged to participate in the survey/ questionnaire filling process. Further, such a simple survey can be administered to a large number of the representative population which is likely to give even more clues and precise data. It is also easier to analyze the data since only one major question is being analyzed, with only two possible answers.
