Reaction Paper: Lie To Me. Psychology Reaction Paper

Reaction Paper Instructions:

From Professor:
In any manner that works for you, find and watch any full episode of the T.V. show "Lie to Me", which is heavily based on the work of Paul Ekman. I do not believe that this is a T.V. Series that needs to be watched in order from beginning to end, so feel free to jump into the middle of a season. I prefer not to read 100 papers on the first episode.
While watching, take notes of plot items or dialog that illustrate concepts from our course. Use those notes to write a 1.5 to 2 page reaction paper in which you accomplish the following:

1. Explain where you found the episode that you watched and how difficult it was to get access to it.
2. Summarize, with specifics, some of the terms or concepts that you observed.
3. Conclude with your opinion/reaction to the show and its relevance.

Throughout the episode, the audience is shown how the psychologist reveals the falsehoods of the characters by carefully observing their facial micro-expressions and body language. These are clear indicators that the person is being deceptive.
Additionally, his mindreading techniques were highly essential in revealing vital information regarding those individuals involved in the investigation of the accused student, his fellow students, teachers and also the police officers investigating the case. In the first moments of the pilot episode, Lightman displayed to the law enforcement class the manner that micro-expressions assisted him in discovering the manner that the prisoner had planted a bomb. As the prisoner kept his mouth shut, he could not prevent exhibiting micro facial expression of delight slipping out after he discovered from Lightman that the FBI was wasting time, searching the wrong church.
Throughout the episode, viewers are forced to re-evaluate their sense of morality and fairness and also the manner that the justice system can sometimes be highly disad...
