I have learned that structural racisms do not only affect and individuals, but it mostly affects society as a whole. Rose points out the criminal justice system as one of the apparatus that contribute to such kind of racism. The need to create an anti-racist community in America has been a huge challenge as a result of the ideologies that people have ever since the colonial era. During that time, blacks were considered to be criminals. This has not changed a lot in the current American society since black people stand a higher chance of being arrested as compared to whites. The ways in which their cases are ruled out can clearly indicate the injustice that they pass through in the American criminal system. I thought that such kind of discrimination no longer existed but hen having a closer look at the statistics, it is clear that the black still faces racial discrimination in the justice system. As well, the issue of ghettos seemed to be a result of the poor working conditions for the people who live in such ghettos. However, it is more of a continuation from the African American homes during the colonial era. Much has not been done to eradicate the ghettos since it is considered to be a normal way of living for the blacks.
