Health has different meanings, according to various scholars. The simple definition is a state of complete physical and mental wellness. It is also a resource of living a full life and merely the absence of any ailments. Factors such as environment, genetics, and economic status can influence the health outcomes of people. In 1948, the World Health Organization came up with a standard definition that summed up all other meanings. It defined health as “a complete physical, mental, and social well-being and merely the absence of diseases or infirmities” (World Health Organization. (2002). Factor such as proper sleep and rest can also affect a person’s health either positively or negatively, depending on their patterns of sleep.
