What ideas did you find to be the most exciting or generative? WHY?
The authors assertion on the importance of creating a positive culture at workplaces is exciting and elicits various emotions for readers. I concur with the author’s affirmation that jobs are collections of tasks and relationships that are grouped together and assigned to an individual. The idea of fostering a healthy workplace is important in the elimination of conflicts among employees (Wrzesniewski et al., 2013). Besides, the idea of job crafting is an approach I find appealing because it aims on empowering employees to create jobs for themselves. With the current Covid-19 pandemic, the job crafting approach seems appealing since employees can start their businesses, which means they do not have to worry about being fired.
