Currently, climate change, or global warming has been a significant subject in the media. More attention has been given to it since it is believed that humans are responsible for these catastrophic climatic variations. Although the hypotheses reported by the mainstream media are not supported by proper scientific evidence, many people now believe that man-made carbon dioxide is to be blamed for the continual rise of temperature on earth or global warming. However, given the scientific qualifications of the speakers in the documentary “The Great Global Warming Swindle,” one believes their views on climate change are censored in the mainstream media or are not fairly presented via open debates.
Numerous speakers in this film have many years of experience in science backgrounds and prove their arguments using scientific research. What the earth is experiencing now or rather the climate change is not a new phenomenon since scientific evidence shows that these climatic variations are normal. For example, during the Medieval Warm Period, the earth’s temperature was high and then it decreased during the Little Ice Age in the 14th century. Approximately 10,000 years ago, before the Medieval Warm Period, there was a warm spell called Holocene Maximum, during the Bronze Age (Durkin, 2007).
