Hybrids under the Canadian Multiculturalism Policy
Thesis statement
Even though the hybrids in Canada are bound to experience various challenges in their integration in the Canadian multicultural society, the development of new immigration policies will promote the spirit of Canadian Multicultural policies that seek to foster hybrid integration without having to drop the old beliefs in the new society. Individuals as well as the government should actively participate in championing for the ways through which the hybrid can get help to transit to the new society without having to face challenges that could destroy individuals’ identities, pride in ancestry and sense of belonging. Canadian history has proven that multiculturalism promotes racial and ethnic harmony among the hybrids and this can be enhanced through development of appropriate and favorable immigration policies.

Multiculturalism policies have proven to be beneficial for cultural diversity, helping hybrids preserve their old beliefs in the new society.
Canadian multiculturalism instills the belief that citizens are equal, promoting the feeling of acceptance, security and self-confidence that make the people more receptive to other diverse cultures thus promoting harmony and cross-cultural understanding (Wong and Annette 11)
Such policies discourage discrimination in the society, hatred and violence making individual feel valued and accepted despite their cultural diversity.
Multiculturalism culture attracts immigrants from other regions in the world who can be beneficial in improving the economy of a country besides promoting further multiculturalism integration (Blake 82).
