Existence of alien life in the universe
Ever looked at the sky during the night and wondered if Alien life exists? Scientists have taken this matter and tried to explain if Alien life is there. As much as there is no adequate evidence to prove that Alien life exists, there is some explanation saying that there may be life within the cosmos (Billings 94). Alien life may be there because of the expanse of what is known as space, knowing of planets that can be lived, and the similarity that is there between other planets and the Earth.
Trying to figure out if Alien life can be compared to searching for a needle within a haystack. The size of the area that is way above our galaxy up to the universe tries to explain about the imagination of people. Some scientists say that our universe is too big as the planets within our reach cannot be accounted for. Moreover, such scientists continue to say there may be many other planets that are there if indeed, we cannot get the count of those within us (Melkikh et al. 5). Therefore, it is no wonder when some scientists say the universe is too vast with many planets, and every planet may have a life. It would, therefore, be necessary for scientists to determine if life exists past the Earth.
Another group of scientists is of the view that because of the large size of the magnitude of the universe, it is logical to point out that there may be a possibility of having a life away from Earth. Neil deGrasse Tyson, a renowned scientist, supports such an idea of life that existed past the Earth. The scientists go further to talk of the principle of Capernican, which states that people and Earth are essential, but not special. Tyson says that believing that only the Earth has life within the cosmos is egocentric of people (Billings 99). He is of the idea that the universe is too big not to have Alien life. Due to the many planets that are there, then it is sensible that there is a place away from the Earth where there is Alien life.
Furthermore, it is not that the universe is just too vast; scientists have discovered some moons and planets that are habitable. The possibility for the existence of life has to qualify with specific credentials of the environment, like on the Earth.
