Waiting for Spring
A Poem in the Style of Catullus
Spring, o how truly far you seem to be. The trees are naked and they appear to be taunting me.
I walk the streets as the bitter breeze shook the crisp dried leaves of the fall that had so swiftly left.
It seethes inside my skin, it seems to me. This cold and wretched wind. I try to hide but even in the comfort of my home, it creeps in.
Some days, it is not as harsh.
