Aim of task 2 For you to learn to critically evaluate theories and issues.
Task Description You are required to produce three texts (300 words each, total 900 words+-10%) that critically reflect on theories and issues raised in the initial weeks of the subject, discussing their relevance for real world using your own examples. The three texts are to be submitted in ONE document. Across the three texts you must reference at least three academic sources, at least one MUST be from the subject reading list. The three texts are to be academic in tone and expression including referencing in the Harvard (UTS) style.

I have to write three texts, can they all be about the same theory/issue?
No. Each text must be about a different theory/issue.
I have to write three texts, do I submit each text separately to Turnitin?
No. You submit all texts in ONE document. Separate the texts using headings for each of the theories/issues you are writing about.
Where can I find the subject reading list?

Can I use more than one academic reference from the subject reading list?
Yes. The minimum is one, but you can use more.
Can I use more than three academic references?
Yes. The assignment description specifies only a minimum number of academic sources in order to ensure that you have enough room to discuss the theories/issues you have drawn from the lectures/readings in depth.
What does “discussing relevance for real world examples” mean?
Means using real world examples to demonstrate the theory/issues being discussed in this subject. You need evidence (academic reference) and real world examples to demonstrate your understanding of theory/issues.
