GUIDELINES ON PAPER STRUCTURE
For this assignment you have to present an annotated outline of your final paper. By this I mean that I want to see all the sections and subsections of your final paper with a brief description of what you are going to say in each. For example,
1. Introduction: presentation of research question and relevance. Brief methods description. Paper structure.
2. Literature review: situate my research question in the scholarly debate. I will mainly review two blocks of literature: debates on the relationship between XX and XX, and explanations of XX. 
3. Brief description of my case: situate the outcome of interest in its historical context.And so forth…
There is no magic number of sections and subsections but all papers should have, aside from an account of the actual research and results, an introduction, literature review, methods section and conclusion. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THE FINAL PAPER GUIDELINES ON THE SYLABUS. 
By taking a look at this outline, I can make sure you are not missing anything important and that the proposed structure makes sense. If you are not sure on how to structure certain parts or what to include, you can present different options and I can help you chose. 1. Introduction
Presentation of research question and relevance; the focus of this study is to address the research question formulated for the study; how did the terroristic protest 2009 contribute to economic recession in Xinjiang? The research question is relevant because it will help in evaluating the economic effects of terroristic protests within an economy. The hypothesis that is to be tested through the study is: terroristic protest led to population displacement and then led to economic decline. 
Brief methods description; in order to achieve the set objective, the study will use a case study approach. This study will utilize a case study approach because a case study involves studying several other case studies so as to collect the necessary data.
Paper structure: the first section presents an introduction and background to the topic. The second section reviews existing literature on the topic. In the third chapter, a brief description of the case studied in the paper is presented. The fourth chapter will discuss the case and relate it to the research question and how it relates to the hypothesis. The hypothesis will be tested in this section. A conclusion will be drawn in the fifth chapter, based on the data collected and discussed and how it addresses the research question. Finally, a list of references will be presented.
