Intellectual Disabilities Research Project Assignment

Other (Not Listed) Instructions:

This is a revised, as complete as possible, last draft of paper. It should have all the elements of the final paper, except that the sections on your findings and conclusion will not be complete yet.
There should be at least five pages of findings in this draft of the paper. What you report, of course, varies from project to project. Findings in a typical qualitative paper start with a description of the setting where the research took place (more detail than in the data section), and then shifts to an analysis corresponding to the section headings in the table of contents. Material from relevant codes/memos are reported in each section.
Findings in a typical quantitative paper start with descriptive statistics on the dependent variable of interest, then descriptive statistics on the other variables, and then statistics showing relationships (such as correlations and cross-tabulations). Again, the statistics presented should correspond to the section headings in the table of contents. Include the “raw” SPSS output—don't waste a lot of time typing up tables or charts that just re-present the information from the output.
Please note that you will NOT use all your codes or all the statistics that you run or all the notes on all your documents in your paper. If you have a code with very little or irrelevant information, you should probably leave it out of the paper. Similarly, you will typically run many more statistics than you report in the paper, because many of them will be uninformative or repetitive. Analysis and writing is always a matter of selection.
MY ESSAY IS BASED ON CONTRAST OF CASES, SO NO SPSS NEEDED. I NEED YOU TO ADD 5 PAGES OF FINDINGS AND AN ABSTRACT. YOU CAN EDIT MY ESSAY AS NEEDED. I HAD MENTIONED SOMETHING ABOUT THE SURVEY. I DON'T NEED IT.

Abstract
Over the years, the debate on mental health and its effects on the family and its structure has been widely debated. On one hand, some studies show that having a family member or a next of kin with issues in mental health presents negative repercussions for the member of the family, when it comes the attitude and perspectives on the matter. On the other hand, some studies show that these cases creates more cohesion within the family and that taking care of people with intellectual disabilities indeed create a more positive perspective towards them. This provides an important matter for discussion because attitudes towards issues of mental health are also believed to affect the kind of care (home-care or residential) that people afflicted with the receive. In order to study this, the author of this article utilized a qualitative interview of six family members of people with intellectual disabilities from three different families. Particularly, the semi-structured interview was focused on providing a deeper understanding of the relationship between perspectives and attitudes of family members towards intellectual disability, the preferred services, as well as other factors that could affect them. In conclusion, the results showed that despite the differences in attitudes and perspectives, a certain correlation between them and the type of care does not exist. However, it was found that Socio-Economi Status (SES) could somehow affect the preference over one type of care over the other. In the end, while this idea is still contestable, what this suggests is that a need for a much deeper and narrow study is needed for future references.
