Supervision During Changes

Other (Not Listed) Instructions:

Supervision during Change. Change happens at a very rapid pace in our modern technological society, and it can be very stressful and difficult for companies. Your job, as a supervisor, is to help manage the change and lead your company to a more productive era. You will brief the employees of Green Transportation.
The Scenario – You have been chosen by your CEO to prepare a brief or letter for your company to explain the changes that the organization will be experiencing. The CEO chose you because you are known to have your finger on the pulse of the workers and embrace technology. He wants you to reassure the workforce of the coming changes.
The CEO told you that he has heard numerous rumors of low morale, employees looking for new jobs, possible strikes (your workers are union) and even threatening comments. Your company is ELO Transportation, a small local company that takes normal gasoline engine vehicles and transforms them into electric-powered vehicles. Your company so far has transformed a few buses, garbage trucks, tow trucks, and numerous other vehicles for your community (a town of 100,000 people) however, with automation, machine learning, and AI the company is looking to launch nationwide. This will happen in the next two years.
A large percentage of your workforce are older workers and are really concerned about learning new technology and losing their job to "dumb machines"!
You can "make up" facts to help your brief, just make sure your work is pertinent to the course material.
A good guideline for your brief is the "Ten Commandments for Implementing Change," (Conlow, 2001) section of your text. Also, another good tool to use might be the "Implications for Leaders" chart in "The Future Leader" (Morgan, 2020) page 43.

Supervision during Change
Hello team,
As you may have heard, ELO Transportation has been skyrocketing in terms of success. The organization has been crucial in transforming our community by making it greener. It has achieved this by carrying out businesses involving transforming normal gasoline-engine vehicles into electric-powered vehicles. To date, we have transformed a few buses, tow trucks, garbage trucks, and other vehicles in our community of 100 000 people. Furthermore, ELO Transportation is aiming to expand in the next two years. As a result, our CEO chose me to supervise change here at Green Transportation. Our company will be changing its operations because we have noted that morale among workers has been deteriorating, new cases of employees looking for new jobs, and strikes and threatening comments are becoming popular. Therefore, a change is vital before things worsen and destroy the image of Green Transportation.
After a long discussion, we realized that employees' morale has deteriorated due to declining open communication, lack of teamwork, and lack of trust. One way we are looking forward to combating this issue is by building trust and advocating for honesty. Besides, encouraging open communication will help to understand how the employees feel, the reasons for their feeling, and measures to improve their morale (Korn, 2022). Alternatively, we have realized that overwork, inadequate benefits, lack of training, and minimal recognition have played a role in high turnover, strikes, and dissatisfaction. However, worry no more because we have got you covered. One way we have put in place to alleviate this issue is that we have scheduled to be having regular team-building activities to boost our company culture.
We have also developed a ...
