Executive Summary
Jelson Industries is a company that offers carrier services to customers. The company has experienced consistent growth as a result of the strategy implemented over the years. Although the strategies implemented have dealt with most of the challenges faced by the company, Jelson still faces some major issues. The issues identified in the report include driver shortages, failure to constantly adapt to regulatory changes, and customer service. The costs that are associated with the regulations are high since the company is required to spend their resources to comply with the changes. The pool of available truck drivers is lower than the company’s ability to keep up with the increase in demand for transport. Jelson also finds it difficult to coordinate the right type of equipment and capacity, know different timelines and retailer requirements, and determine optimized scheduling. Recommended solutions to the issues include the implementation of information technology, developing a regulatory impact analysis model, partnering with the federal authorities to develop a driver training program, and finding a transportation partner who is knowledgeable in the transport carrier service to help improve customer service.

Jelson Industries Transport Carrier Annual Strategy
Introduction
Transportation is a vital element of the logistics process as well as the supply chain, which runs from the provider of the product to the customers. At Jelson Industries, the issues of effective logistics play an important role in their transportation business since the company highly considers the speed and cost of transportation. Reason being, the strategies implemented have failed to handle issues such as regulatory changes, driver shortage, and customer service. These issues have been identified after having carried out a SWOT analysis of the company. The report, therefore, seeks to address the issues mentioned by identifying the ...
