Introduction
Ideally, parks may either be natural or semi-natural, and they offer a natural environment which is critical in promoting quality of life. It is important to note that parts play a huge role in improving our physical, as well as psychological health; additionally, the parks are people in our communities because they create a conducive environment where community members can meet and interact. It has been determined that parks are vital in facilitating social environmental, economic, and health benefits to the surrounding communities. The parks are ideal for attracting tourists, act as marketing tools for cities to attract investors, and the green environment has health benefits for people in areas cross to parks. This discussion explains my connection to a park that was near our home when I was growing up.
My connection to a small park that was near where we lived when I was growing up is all I can recall about my childhood. I can hardly remember a day when I was not outdoors getting dirty, exploring, and playing with other children. My interests with parks were motivated by my dad, who was highly interested in exploration and made sure that we also gained outdoor experiences the same way. On weekends, my father and I would spend most of our time in the park, where I would take part in numerous activities such as participating in running games with other children, create mud structures, collect flowers and walk around the park with my parents. Most importantly, the park created experiences critical for my childhood development because it helped make new friends; playing was crucial for better health, and it also helped me learn about the environment.
Besides, the park provided an ideal environment for my family that is unmatched to what we experienced in other places such as oceans and lakes that we visited mainly during summer.
