Social research is a study undertaken by social scientists, which is guided by a systematic plan and can either follow qualitative or quantitative designs. However, complexities arise in the presentation of the outcomes as noted over time. Therefore, there is a need to evaluate the alignment of the many components presented by a particular research to ensure that the required approach has been utilized (Case, Jorgensen, & Zucker, 2004). The essay highlights the criteria used in assessing the alignment of diverse research elements in a given study.
Criterion for Evaluation
In the sequential development approach, the set standards are developed and utilized by the test developers as a guideline for the structure and content to be assessed. The criterion is advantageous since it provides for the procession in a logical process and application of the initially developed document to the subsequent ones (Case, Jorgensen, & Zucker, 2004).
