The potential legal claims against the healthcare providers and the institution.
The potential defenses to those legal claims.

Medical consumers have taken various legal actions against hospitals, such as filing lawsuits. Legal risks to healthcare organizations have become prevalent because of the increase in medical disputes. Furthermore, patients have become aware of their rights, thus escalating their expectations of monetary compensation in case of medical malpractice. Arguably, hospitals have to implement effective countermeasures to prevent the financial repercussions of lawsuits concerning patient safety management, medical practices, and the illegal conduct of healthcare providers.
Healthcare organizations pursue the objective of productivity and efficiency within a team of experts, medical practitioners, and administrative staff from a wide range of fields. Arguably, they are vulnerable to risks that relate to customer satisfaction, safety, and overall operation of a hospital. The legal dangers that occur are within the category of illegal conduct of hospital employees, medical malpractices, and management of patients’ safety. According to Park, Cho, Park, Kim, Park, and Park (2016), the illegal conduct of medical practitioners includes poor management of medication, incomplete execution of work tasks, false medical certificates, and any other unlawful conduct. Conversely, medical malpractices involve response during an emergency or implementation of preventive measures. Accordingly, the management of a patient’s safety entails the protection of sensitive information, sexual assaults, and patient falls.
