IT PASSWORD SECURITY COMPLIANCE
Pursuant to the BoD Resolution No. ICT/067/2017 Dated 11/11/2017, The Executive Management Committee (EMC) organized a mandatory corporate ICT Policy Training Workshop to review and train employees on the ICT security policy. In particular, the workshop Agenda underscored the importance of internal compliance with the Password Policy following cases of policy violation. For purposes of safeguarding company information and data, all employees were taken through the Password Policy and how it applies to their different departments and job functions. The training touched on password complexity, duration and sharing among other security concerns. On behalf of the Board of Directors, the Executive Management Committeee (EMC) hereby wishes to inform all employees that compliance takes effecct as from 1st JANUARY 2018. All employees are required to fully comply. The ICT department in collaboration with the internal audit department will conduct frequent security audits and progressively report to the EMC on the level of compliance. Kindly note that all cases of non-compliance will be subject to the company disciplinary mechanisms.
