JMW Turner had become involved in the fight for justice through his own works. For example, in his piece entitled Slave Ship he supported the abolitionist system by depicting the cruelty of ‘traders’ and ‘masters’ against slaves as the former threw the latter overboard a ship in the midst of a storm.

Géricault’s works have been involved in the issue of social justice as he tried to show how inequality works in the society with the use of horrific or horrendous scenes that elicits a strong emotional impact. For example, in his work the Raft of Medusa, he depicted a number of people huddled together in a raft, most of whom are dying and starving. This r

Delacroix work depicts the idea of justice by emphasizing the overarching idea that every man deserves to be free regardless of their social class and status. One good example of this is his work entitled Liberty Leading the People where the characters are shown to be fighting together for their freedom (as symbolized by Lady Liberty) regardless of whether they are a proletariat or a bourgeoisie.

i. Goya - 3rd of May, 1808
Goya’s work entitled 3rd of May, 1808 depicts a scene where members of the Spanish resistance were being murdered by Napoleon’s army during the famous Peninsular war. Accordingly, it is through this “revolutionary” depiction that he shows the injustices that the colonizers did to the natives with the goal of raising awareness about it.
