Expectations

Nutrition is ideal for human living. People with access to safe and adequate food have a healthy life. Besides, individuals in food-insecure households have poor-quality diets that can cause conditions such as overweight, heart diseases or diabetes. The literature determines methods that can be used to assess, monitor, consider, and evaluate potential clients. The five groups of patients that will be considered include individuals with diabetes, alcohol dependence, obesity, heart disease and cancer.

Journal 1: Community Food Supply & Health
*Evaluate the patient’s fat intake
*Consider client’s consumption of food high in cholesterol, this is important for patients with obesity (Brown, 2016).
* Evaluate the ease of access to food low in fats for obese patients.
*Determine the economic and biological determinants and that influence the supply and access of healthy food
* Access to fruits and vegetables is crucial for protection against specific diseases such as cancer.
Journal 2: Food Habits & Cultural Patterns
*Determine client’s drinking habits.
*Evaluate the effects of alcohol on intake of healthy food intake.
Considering cases of alcohol poisoning among patients with alcohol use problem.
*Promote the client’s independence in eating
* Monitor whether the patient’s food intake is influenced by his or her cultural background.
