Isabella A C E F G J D H I B
Ethan H G E D B I J A C F
Emma D I F A E G B C H J
Olivia B G A J H C F E I D
As you begin thinking about this project, consider using tables (such as those below) to help you work through the problem. I am a visual learner so some of the HINTS provided are one's I use to keep me on track.
FOR THE 1ST VOTE assign 3 points to each member's 1st choice (see 1st Vote column); 2 points to the second, and 1 point to the 3rd choice.
Round 1 Vote
Total After totaling, 1) eliminate all Options with totals of less than 3, then 2) carry forward only those options that remain to the Round 2 Table
Hint: consider “Xing” out all of the Options you eliminated on the Table above. This will provide you a better visual of what remains to be used.
Round 2 Vote (assign 2 points for each member's 1st choice and 1 point for the 2nd choice)
After totaling: Continue to eliminate low vote tallying options until only two (2) Options remain. If you “X'd out those options eliminated in Round 1 you should be able to visually see what Options remain available for vote in Round 2
Hint: consider placing an over all of the Options you eliminated in Round 2 (on the Table above). This will provide you a better visual of what remains to be used
3-1 Group A Discussion: Multi-Voting Process Tool
After the first round C, E and F were eliminated as they recorded scores below 3, while none of the groups chose J in any of the first three options. This indicates that the option was not considered when making decisions. Round 2 options A, B, G, H and I all had scores of 2, while D had a score of 4. Both G and I. since option G was the second best alternative for Ethan and Olivia the choice is eliminated. Similarly, in portion I, both Jacob and Emma chose this as the second options. In round 3 both Jacob and Emma choose option D as their first choices and this should be considered in the multi-voting process.
