I agree with my colleague that the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is a reliable website rooted in evidence-based practice (EBP). Besides, EBP involves the use of current evidence to improve healthcare decisions. In that light, NAMI qualifies for applying EBP as it focuses on supporting, educating, listening to, and leading individuals with mental health problems (National Alliance of Mental Illness, 2022). As stated in the post, NAMI offers educational materials, outreach for individuals living with mental illnesses and their families, and a toll-free crisis hotline. On that note, it means that the website provides relevant and credible information to curb mental health issues that might arise from the addiction to the Internet and video games, which can cause behavioral and cognitive problems (Schueller & Torous, 2020). As such, NAMI is on the frontline to support the mental well-being of people.
