With those elements in mind, complete the Technology Solution Matrix to consider and describe potential technology solutions in preparation for lesson planning in Part 2. Lesson Plan. TO PREPARE: Recall previously identified elements of your lesson so far: Nursing topic: The Importance of End-of-Life Discussions and Decision-Making in Nursing Education. Learning objectives: 1 By the end of a 70-minute simulation period, each nursing student will be able to initiate an end-of-life discussion using therapeutic communication techniques. 2 During a 2-hour case-based learning workshop, a nursing staff learner will collaboratively develop a care plan for a patient nearing the end of life. 3 By the end of a 40-minute role-playing session, caregivers and patients will identify three specific end-of-life care preferences using a structured decision-making tool.
