For this assignment, you will create a guide you can share with your peers in this class. Your guide will be called “Five Ways to Create a Presentation to Remember.” Feel free to be creative as you build your guide. There are no right or wrong ideas to include in your guide, and this should be a reflection of what you have learned so far in Section 2 of the course.Your guide should list five best practices with approximately a half-page description of each one. Be sure to justify each best practice, describing it using scholarly writing by including data, evidence, and supporting sources. In addition, be sure to display your professional writing skills by formatting your guide in a visually appealing way that your audience will enjoy and find easy to follow (APA format is not required for your guide, other than for the format of your sources). Please be sure to cite your sources within the guide that you create. Citations can be done unobtrusively (such as in a smaller font) with the design of your guide in mind.
Length: 2-3 pages, or one trifold brochure, or one visually appealing handout (be creative!)
References: At least 5 scholarly sources are required, with a minimum of 1 source supporting each best practice. Be sure to cite your sources within the guide itself in addition to a reference list.
Your guide should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Be sure to adhere to Academic Integrity Policy.

Five Ways to Create a Presentation to Remember
Presentation is not just sharing ideas but also ensuring that they stick in the minds of the audience. Therefore, creating a memorable presentation is instrumental. The following strategies can help create a memorable presentation:
Develop a Structured Presentation
An effective presentation should be well-structured to facilitate coherence and ensure that the audience is following the logic and flow of information. A well-structured presentation should have an introduction, content or body, and a conclusion. According to Dolan (2017), an introduction is an integral part of an effective presentation because it allows the presenter to introduce themselves, set the stage, and build a connection with the audience. The introduction allows the audience to know what will be covered during the session. Also, they get to know how the session benefits them. This is what Langlois (2015) refers to as the “what’s in it for me?” The content allows the presenter to deliver the main points. A memorable presentation should be such that the transition between the key points is smooth (Dolan, 2017). Also, the presenter can allow the audience to ask questions about a point before moving on to the next point. The conclusion summarizes the key points and can also be a question, answers, and feedback session (Dolan, 2017). A presenter can gain a lot from the feedback session.
Consider Your Audience’s Needs and Level of Understanding
When making a presentation, the assumption is that the presenter has all the information and facts about a certain topic or issue. The audience knows nothing or very little about the issue. The presenter may be tempted to deliver to the audience what they know about the issue without considering the needs or the level of understanding of the audience. However, a memorable presentation considers the needs of the audience. For instance, the core message delivered to nursing students would be a bit different from one delivered to nurses who have been in practice for years because their level of understanding is different. Daniel et al. (2017) posit that the core message should meet the interests and needs of the audience. If it interests the audience, then it will capture their attention and keep them engaged until the presentation is over. To know the needs and interests of the audience, the presenter must first know the audience. Thus, researching the audience is important, as revealed by (Day-Calder, 2017). It prepares the presenter on what to deliver to the audience.
Use Visuals
There are many visuals at the disposal of a presenter. These include charts, videos, and pictures, among others. According to Siarohin, Zen, Majtanovic, Alameda-Pineda, Ricci, and Sebe (2019), visuals have an element of memorability, which leaves information imprinted in the minds of consumers. Presenters should build on this element of memorability to create a presentation that will not be forgotten by the audience.
