I have made a collage already which I’m attaching. The prompt is:
how the collage relates to your ‘Geography of Self’ writing, why you chose the materials/images you did, how you choose to create the composition, and/or any inspirations or influences from anzaldua’s reading.
You had previously written a paper # 00090604 for me and reflected on how I relate to geography of self, so may be keeping that theme (only my personal self part; being Muslim; Pakistan immigrated to US) and adding more to it ; draw reflection from my collage and the reading and make connections !
One example is Gloria talks about “being hybrid” whether to be all Mexican or coming to US she had to give up her culture” so idea about my identity could be if I be “cultured” , properly represent myself is my identity of being Pakistani Muslim woman. Something like that" Sorry I leave that up to you
things to consider: What do you consider your own Geography of Self ? You may use some of the metaphors Anzaldúa mentioned : a tree with branches, roots and leaves or perhaps there are other metaphors that work better. What flows beneath you that you can draw on as a source of strength and wisdom - el cenote the subterranean river?

In this collage that I created, I emphasized how society creates these “expectations” which shaped my life, yet also constrained me as I move from one to the next. Even though each society are interconnected with one another – just like how the oceans connect to one another – I realized that being raised as a Pakistani and a Muslim woman makes it a little difficult to live in the United States.
Nonetheless, my art also reflects the ultimate reason for the existence...
