1.Why did you choose this type of business?
I chose to venture into this business for four main reasons. First, I have an exclusive experience in hospitality and hotel management. Running a restaurant was, therefore, a simple matter since I have accrued important skills in the management of such business. Secondly, the surrounding market is viable and supportive for the fast food business. There is minimal competition here since the few restaurants are focusing on the high-end customers forgetting both the middle and low-class customers.
2.What are the requirements for a person into work in this business?
Business ethics and accountability are inevitable for all the employees applying for recruitment. The employees must have soft skills of handling clients, most specifically, the should portray an undoubted level of decorum, decency, and discipline. They should be attentive and proactive to instructions and orders issued by the customers. Above all, neatness, right from the dress codes is paramount. Food service is inclined to hygiene and sanitation.
3.Which specific courses or training helped you prepare?
Enrolling for hospital and hotel management both at diploma and degree level was significant in the preparation of this business. I got relevant skills on how best customers could be handled effectively without losing touch with either of them and compromising your business principles. The customer loyalty was a fundamental unit in the course.
4.Who had the greatest influence on your business choice? Why?
Readily available customers in the market had the greatest influence in my choice of business. Locating the business adjacent to the higher learning institution was meant to capture the attention of lecturers, subordinate staffs, and students who are in need of fast food during lunch hour to save on their working hours. I chose to set up fast food business to meet the overwhelming demands of these colleges staffs and students'.
