SUIBJECT: cancellation of the conventional Christmas party
It is with great concern that we have noted the increased number of employees from different cultures. The diversity of the company’s workforce has prompted some changes in the events in the company (Strasser, 2011). There has been a cancellation of the conventional Christmas party replacing it with winter celebrations. In addition, there will be a showcasing of decorations from all winter holidays and a live band for entertainment.
The company has a multicultural and multiethnic work force due to its global image. This does not reflect in the company’s activities since some celebrations like the Christmas party contradict the cultural beliefs of other employees (Hancock & Rehn, 2011). The company has come up with a universally acceptable way to celebrate the Christmas Eve in a way that involves all the employees in the party. With employees from different creeds and races, it has been unfair only to hold a traditional Christmas party (Hirschman, Ruvio, & Touzani, 2011). The company seeks to involve all the employees in the winter celebrations and make them feel part of the company. Increased involvement of all employees in such activities is set to benefit the company in the following ways:
Increase productivity in the company
Make employees great ambassadors for the company (Lemmergaard & Muhr, 2011)
Increase efficiency
Foster good relationship within the company
By doing this, the rights of all employees will have been respected and the company’s goals and objectives will be achieved seamlessly. The company cares about the working environment of the employees as well as their welfare (Brown, 2011). All employees should prepare for the winter celebrations and will be entertained by a celebrated live band. The company is glad to bring forth these progressive steps to its employees.
