According to Gary Tuerack, successful people (1) do what they love, (2) have a vision, (3) and are able to see themselves beyond other’s expectations. For the first quality, he said that as much as 80% of 180,000 American workers were not happy with their jobs and what they do. For the second quality, he told the very inspiring story of Arnold Schwarzenegger, and how he transitioned from being a 6-time winner of the Olympian, to one of the greatest actors in the history of actions movies. Based from the story, Arnold was able to do it through effort and “vision”. Lastly, he also told a story about how expectations can affect us profoundly, and, at the same time, how much we can achieve by transcending those expectations.
