The original novel The War of words was depiction of the author understanding on alien attacks, with the introduction focusing on the relation between Earth and Mars. Because of the choice of medium, the novelist had to focus on vivid details to relate to the readers. the 1938 radio broadcast was an adaptation by Orson Wells depicted the invasion of Martians on earth, to the public unexposed to such ideas. The dramatization was unique that some people believed that the Martian invasion was real in an era where the idea of aliens was foreign. The 1953 movie departs the 1893 book but has a shorter introduction and the choice of medium influenced people’s perception introduced to the concept of alien invasion.
