Double Indemnity movie review

Certain aspects of the character of Walter Neff is portrayed through the various narrative feature manifested in visual form. In a Noir film, the lighting of the movie holds the key in presenting the mood and general theme of the story. It implicitly develops and highlights details that contribute to the ambiance of the movie and the important details of the protagonists. It hides the characters from the audience's sight and reveals an unspoken vibe about the characters and enigma in the plot. The juxtaposition of brightness and shadow parallels the unsteady moral consciousness of Phyllis and Walter, who both wobble between good and evil, love and lust, virtue and crime.
