Introduction
My country, my people film, is a Chinese Movie that mainly focuses on people's personal choices and the close association between their development and that of the country. It mainly narrates the life experiences before China attained independence, 70 years ago. The film is a 2019 movie; and was directed by Chen Kaige. It covers topics such as the establishment of China's peoples' republic, the atomic bomb in China, China Olympic games, and the countries space program.
Plot Summary
My country, my people movie comprises of seven scenes founded on seven memorial moments since China's people republic, was founded (Kaige, 2019). The stories primarily address how citizens enhanced economic growth and development, and the reasons why they facilitated the growth of the country. As such, the movie portrays the close association between the country and the people living in the country. The film attempts to describe the notion that although the country is vast, it cannot depend on its own, because it mainly relies on people's efforts to thrive well.
Description
My country, my people film, is an impressive seven-scene anthology that marks 70 years after the formation of the People's Republic of China (Kaige, 2019). The movie showcases a record of the most significant cultural and technological achievements since the 1930s. Chen Kaige, the director of the movie, describes everything from the explosion of the country's first atomic bomb to the spacecraft landing of Shenzhou 11.
The film's quality and standard vary significantly from one section to the other (Sunio, 2020). The seven scenes have different tones, although they have specific similarities. Each section mainly focuses on the protagonists of the particular time mentioned and on the daily activities of people and how they relate to the daily economic growth in the country.
In the first scene, Huang Bo acts as an engineer who perfects the automatic flag rising before the country's ceremony in 1949 that marks the establishment of the Republic of China (Rui, 2019). Also, Xu Zheng offers a lighthearted moment when he acts as a champion who goes ahead to install a TV aerial to his house's roof so that people in his vicinity can watch the Chinese volleyball comprised of women playing the Olympic finals in the 1980s. Moreover, Ning Hao is a controversial actor who delivers an inoffensive narrative about the Beijing Olympics as observed by the taxi driver, Ge You. Besides, Chen Kaig...
