The medieval romance characteristic found in the movie is the idealization of the hero-knight for upholding noble deeds. Arthur displays this medieval romance by protecting women in the brothel. For instance, he defended his prostitute friend Lucy, beaten by Vikings by confronting them. Also, he forced them to surrender their wages which he gave to Lucy. One legend characteristic present in the movie is a depiction of actions believed to have taken place in history.
