Concert Report
The Auburn University Percussion and Steel Band have for years boasted great performances. The band has really worked on ensuring that it does good music for the revelers. This year’s concert was held on Tuesday, November 6 at the Godwin Band Hall commencing from 7:30pm all night long. Directed by Dr. Doug Rosener and Mr. Andy Martin, the concert featured the celebrated Brazilian marimbist Dr. Gilmar Goulart the major performances were the Percussion Ensemble and the Steel Band. Just like the preceding years were wonderful, this year was no exception. The concert organizers welcome every music lovers to attend and have a night of fun. Godwin Band Hall was the choosiest venue since it houses the music department and the fact that it is very large hence it can comfortably host those in attendance. The hall’s décor was colorfully and detailed. The revelers were in exquisite dresses and men’s wear that gave me this grand feeling if not royal.

I really loved Christopher “Tambu” Herbart’s Rant and Rave. This is the song that I really enjoyed from all aspects in that it was very lively. The major things in consideration were musical and performance elements. The musical element that I really enjoyed most was the melody.
