After watching the film, Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry, one gets a glimpse of what kind of life, an activist experiences when he goes against the Chinese communist government. Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry is Alison Klayman’s 2012 film is a documentary that criticizes the government. Ai Weiwei is a renowned international artistic; he is outspoken and remains an iconic critic of the Chinese government. He has had to bear with considerable trouble from the government, including content censorship, being beaten up and even detained. This paper will provide an in-depth analysis of the film, Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry.
Ai Weiwei is a Chinese artist cum activist. He has produced an array of artwork that include videos, films, sculptures and architectural works. His work has been recognized globally due to his provocative and subversive approach, in response to oppression practices meted out by Chines communist government. Alison Klayman is an Americal filmmaker; she works with Ai Weiwei in the production of the film Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry.
