Most people have always confused critiquing of a movie as the same as movie reviews. However, there is a big difference between the two terms; movie reviews only expresses an individual’s feeling after watching the movie. On the other hand, in a movie critique, one is expected to criticize the means for production and offer some practical pieces of advice on what can be improved on as well as what ought to be removed from the film. In other words critiquing of a movie is for the purposes of making the movie to be even better by enhancing its quality so as to attract a wider audience of viewers (Bordwell & Carroll, 2012).
How to Critique a Movie
To start it off, it is important to first remember that criticizing a movie does not mean expressing negative emotions towards the film. This is because a lot of pessimism would finish the reader’s desire to get attracted to the writing. Although the movie may be appearing as a total disappointment it is important for one to present a sophisticated criticism of the movie that would not leave the producer discouraged and disappointed.
