The beauty and the beast movie is one of the best examples of a reverse-fairy tale. The movie presents a prince who refuses to let an old woman stay in his house because she is ugly. The woman turns into a princess and curses the prince. As the events of the movie unfold, the prince passes through a lot of hard times as a result of being a beast. Agathe, the enchantress, later rescue him and this helps the whole village learn the importance of loving one another. Therefore, this movie is of importance in the lives of human beings because it acts as a lesson of what would happen if people don't love one another. In addition, it has an influence in today's world because it helps people to stay in harmony and love with their loved ones.
The old lady is an example of the people in the society who go through difficult times because they have no one to believe that they have the potential of helping another person. The director of the movie brings out this idea by using a prince who can be compared to the rich or those in power. In a real society, there exists a huge difference in the classes between the rich and the poor.
