Include supplemental questions 1 and 2 in your pdf following the written report:
Supplemental Question 1:
One commercial cranberryapple juice also contained carrot juice. When observing this juice with the same concentration of cranberry juice, the cranberry-apple juice with carrot juice appears visibly darker. Explain this.
Supplemental Question 2:
Go to Web of Science and find a journal article, published during the last ten years, that interests you and has a topic related to antioxidants and human health. Provide three to four well-written sentences summarizing the information contained in the abstract of the journal article and use Mendeley or Endnote to provide a complete reference citation for the article. Be sure to use the ACS format for references.

Quantification of Cranberry in Cranberry-Apple Juice
Abstract
The primary objective of this lab experiment is to develop good laboratory techniques in data collection. Another purpose is to use computer software for generating and modeling a calibration curve, followed by applying dilution concepts and learning the basics of the Beer-Lambert Law. First of all, we measured the absorption level of the liquid with the help of an Agilent Cary 60 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. Apple juice, cranberry apple juice and varying concentrations of cranberry juice were taken in order to obtain the wavelength and absorbance level of every sample. The conclusion we gained from this laboratory experiment was that the percentage of cranberry in the cranberry-apple juice was 9.97%.
Introduction
Cranberries can be regarded as an important, flavorful and nutritious fruit; they provide a lot of medicinal benefits. Basically, cranberries are recommended to those who have urinary tract infections, kidney diseases or other similar illnesses. These fruits have loads of phytochemicals like anthocyanins; they are said to be capable of absorbing ultraviolet radiations. The absorption value of a solution is directly proportional to its concentration, and this is what we call the Beer-Lambert Law. The mathematical or scientific equation for this law is A = ο₯bc; here b is the path length of the sample, c is the concentration and ο₯ is a unique constant. With the help of this equation and the UV Vis Spectrophotometer, we determined the concentration of the cranberry juice. It’s safe to say that the UV Vis Spectrophotometer is the best, reliable and most accurate instrument to measure the concentration of a liquid in the visible light spectrum. It is because the absorbance is always proportional to the number of molecules at every wavelength. This experiment helped us calculate the exact quantity (percentage) of cranberry juice in the sample of cranberry-apple juice.
Apparatus or Equipment
1. Nearly 100 mL of cranberry juice,
2. 25 mL of apple juice
3. Several beakers
4. 5 mL of cranberry-apple juice,
Method
1. First of all, we prepared the diluted solution of cranberry juice (20 percent) with the help of commercial cranberry juice (27% cranberry).
2. Then we took a pipet, clean cuvet, and 100mL volumetric flask in order to measure the exact amount of cranberry juice cocktail. For this purpose, we filled up the flask with DI water until it reached the 100mL mark.
