St. Paul, made significance influences in the early church and the expansion of Christianity. One of the most significant influences that Paul brought to Christianity is his teaching about love. Using these teachings, he was able to influence the Jews and the gentiles to move forward as one. He taught about the love of God and that of the neighbor along with encouraging the people to follow through with love above the rule of law. This explains one of the motives as to why the Roman empire viewed him as a threat and for that reason had him killed.
