The National Gallery of Art is a national art museum found in Washington D.C. and is located between 3rd and 9th streets at the National Mall on Constitution Avenue NW. I chose to visit this museum virtually for its wide range of art including collections of paintings, sculptures, prints, medals, photographs, and drawings ranging from the middle ages to now. The painting depicts the events of Exodus 32, where the Israelites decided to create an idol in the form of a golden calf after Moses went to Mt. In the middle of the painting is a high priest Aaron collecting gold ornaments to make the idol, while on the left background we see the golden calf surrounded by worshippers. In the centre-right Israelites are seen celebrating and making merry and on the right and left foreground are richly adorned, observers and revelers. This painting is from the early ages (Echols, 2021).

This painting can be used to understand more about Matyr theology. This painting is from the middle ages.
