One of the most successful drama/romance foreign films is Like Water for Chocolate. Directed by Alfonso Arau, the movie was first released in 1992 and has since received several recognitions and awards. Essentially, the film is about a young lady named Tita who leaves in one of the remote villages in Mexico. Just like any other woman, she falls in love with her love of life, Pedro and hoped to get married in the near future. Unfortunately, as her culture dictates, their marriage is prohibited. The youngest daughter in the family has never been married and she is most certainly not going to be the first in her village.
