BEGINNING
INT. UNDERGROUND DAY
The newly planted seeds, including Bob the ginseng seed, are arranged in a straight line.
Bob is at the far-right area. Tom is at the left area right next to where Bob the ginseng is planted.
BOB
What kind of radish would you want to be
when you grow up?
TOM
When I grow up, I want to be the biggest
largest radish. How about you?
BOB
When I grow up, I want to be a GINSENG!!!
Tom looks at Bob with confusion and disbelief. Tom looks at other plants.
TOM
Huh?! Are you crazy? Hahaha!!! You’re
funny. We can only be radishes when we
grow; no more, no less.
MIDDLE
INT. UNDERGROUND DAY
The seedlings are talking about their newly sprouted beautiful leaves and white smooth radish tap root. The seedlings touch their body and looking up to their leaves. Tom is talking at another radish seedling at the left of Tom. Bob is facing away from them.
SEEDLING
(looking up at leaves and feeling the body)
Tom!!! Our bodies have grown significantly,
especially your body, which had grown very
large and strong.
TOM
Yes! We just got planted a few months
and we already matured; however, there
maybe someone among our bed who is
lacking fertilizer, water and sunlight.
Tom is side glancing and face Bob’s area. Bob side glances back. Tom faces Bob.
TOM(CONT’D)
Bob! How’s your dream of becoming a ginseng?
Bob faces Tom. Bob is responding to the question reluctantly while looking down.
BOB
Pretty swell, Thank you. My ginseng skin is growing.
TOM
Hahaha!!! You’re still believing in your
stupid delusions? Look at yourself. Your
small and weak. You look like a deformed
radish. You have thick rough flaky skin.
You can’t even be a normal radish and you
want to be someone else? Hahaha!!! You
make me laugh. Hahaha!!!
Tom and the other seedling laugh out loud. Bob looked down and faces the other side away from the Tom and the seedling. Isolating himself from the group.
EXT. GROUND DAY
Tom and the other radishes are big and strong. They are being harvested and reaped, except for Bob. Another batch of radishes are planted. Tony is planted next to Bob.
INT. UNDERGROUND DAY
The radishes are talking among themselves. Tony faces away from the group and towards Bob, who is silent and alone. Bob faces back when he saw Tony facing him.
TONY
(looking at Bob from top to bottom)
I just got planted two months ago and my body
is continuously growing longer and stronger.
You, on the other hand, was planted here for more
than one year but I already surpassed your size
and weight. I heard from the other radishes that
your appearance is due to your abnormalities.
You tend to rationalize your condition by saying
that your appearance is due to your fantasy of
becoming a ginseng.
BOB
That’s not true. I really dream to be a ginseng and
my body is not abnormal.
TONY
Hahaha!!! Your dream will never come true. I don’t
think that you’re a ginseng. You look more like a
malnourished radish. Your micronutrient deficiency
has toxic implications to our s...
