Writing the Introduction
The Introduction should have the following components:
· The Topic Sentence: One sentence that includes the topic of the essay and your opinion/point of view about the topic (thesis)
· Supporting Sentences (3): Three main ideas supporting your opinion on the topic (one sentence for each supporting idea). You will need to discuss each supporting idea in the body of your essay.
· Summary Sentence (optional): You may include a closing sentence summarizing your opinion/point of view.
